Therapy and coaching in English

I trained as a counsellor in London, where I lived for over 8 years. I am therefore able to offer therapeutic sessions in English if Swedish is not your first language.

What I offer


As a counsellor I offer you a safe environment where you, at your own pace and with my support, are able to explore your life situation and your feelings and find new solutions.

 

As a coach I help you move towards the goals you set yourself. Coaching can help you in both your work and private life. It can help you see your life situation in a new light, find new ways of moving forward and find inspiration within youself. It can be surprising to see the changes you can make and what you can achieve through coaching!

 

Why see a coach or therapist?


There are many different reasons why people come to see a counsellor or coach. Perhaps you are suffering from stress or anxiety, you are feeling low but do not know why, you are suffering from the loss of a loved one, you want to understand your own reactions better, you are interested in self-development etc.

 

Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to friends and family about certain things, and it can be easier to talk to a counsellor who does not tell you what to do, but is present, listens and accepts you for who you are at that moment.

Perhaps you need help in moving forward or reaching a certain goal and find it difficult to get started or gather the willpower needed.

My therapeutic approach

My approach is based in the Person-Centred model, which is a Humanistic way of working. It is a non-directive way of working based in the belief that people are basically good, social, rational and realistic. The cornerstones in the Person-Centred model are those of empathy, congruence and unconditional positiv regard.

 

The theapist encourages the client to explore and express his of her emotions, and the aim for the therapy is that the client integrates his or her emotions and experiences which s/he earlier might have misinterpreted.

 

It is the job of the therapist to offer a space where the client feels safe and is able to find his or her own way to self-healing and self-development.

 


Coaching approach

As a coach I bring the tools needed to move forward. You might be given homework, that is, during the sessions we might come up with steps that you can try out during the week that will help you move towards your goal.

Together we will explore challenges in your life and ways to change your situation.
